Greings. I hope that uh you're doing fine. So this is just my intro video concerning the course that I've created the career guidance uh course which is for uh school levers and those that um yeah school levers you could have completed school a long time ago or just a few months or just uh a few years. This for you. You could have completed school 10 years ago, 5 years ago. this course is still for you. So, uh this is just my introduction video in the first module that I made and I recommend that you take this course. It is very important. Why? Because many people have founded themselves in wrong careers and it takes them time for them to realize what they are built for. So this first module it's talking about knowing yourself and when we talk about knowing yourself it means a lot of things. It means you doing an inward examination and also knowing yourself from the experiences and the uh exposure that you've had the experience what you've experienced from life and you later on discover to say no I think from what I've experienced and what aligns with my interests the things I like the things that make me productive the things that I really enjoy and they make me feel fulfilled. So um that is what is uh like in simple terms or briefly about knowing yourself. So that's the first module. Why how do you know yourself? Why is it important to know yourself? So how do you know yourself? Study your interest. Identify the things that you like doing. Identify the things that makes you feel fulfilled in life. So a person um could have more interest in playing football and if they have interest in playing football and that makes them feel fulfilled then they should go ahead and do that. So let's say you complete school and you discover that you want to be a footballer because football is a profession, football is a career and after discovering that you now break this information to your parents to say I think from what I like um I would love to go and play football. I think football is going to make me feel fulfilled. So that is what you've discovered based on the studies that you've done about yourself. We call that introspection. You do an introspection and you discover yourself. So um what you do when you discover that uh now you make a decision because you have to be true to yourself. Be true to yourself. Sometimes we end up doing careers because our parents have forced us to do that. Because our parents want to have a doctor in the family and they tell you to say no, we want to have a doctor in the family. That is their own interest and not your interest. That is what makes them feel good and not what makes you [snorts] feel good. So when we talk about uh choosing the right career as well, it has got many things. You can have a career that has to do with something uh um music. You can have a career that has to do with music. And once you discover to say you are good at music and you want to have I mean a career in music, you go ahead and do it because some of you you it will only take you to prosper or to become successful in this life just through music. Sometimes we think about big things ignoring the small things that can make us successful in this life. So when it comes to knowing yourself, sit down, focus on yourself. Don't allow pressure from outside there lead you into things you're going to regret. I have known people that have gone to school for seven years, six years, study medicine, and later on discover that medicine is not their thing. I just came across a post of someone who did medicine in China. A Zambian graduated as the best student in in in China there did medicine. But after some time he discovered that he was better in business than uh in medicine. So this man trained for seven years and later on never practiced medicine that he had suffered for for seven years. After he came back to from China, he came to Zambia. Here in Zambia when he came he went into real estate. This is a true life story. I'm telling you. This is a true life story I'm telling you. seven years medicine and all that comes to Zambia instead of doing what he did. he realizes to say um no I think what fits me is u business let me become an entrepreneur and after he becomes an entrepreneur what does he do he ventures into real estate business and as we are talking now he's doing fine so identify something that suits you don't go into careers because you want to please someone. Know yourself. Because you want to scare someone. Some people say the career that you chose to scare people is now scaring you. I wouldn't want such a thing to happen to you. Don't choose careers because you want to scare people. Otherwise the careers that you choose will end up scaring you yourself when you intended to scare people so that people should know that I can be this. I'm not refusing anyone to become what they want to be. But I want you to be extra careful. That is why I am focusing on this. Learn to study yourself. Know yourself. Look at things which align with your interest. Some of you it will just take you to start writing books and focus on that. You go into authoring books find your career maybe might be just be attached for you to be uh might be connected for you to just become an author and you become a writer of best-selling books because of the knowledge that you have and you possess. Some of you uh you can go to any skills course do catering. I mean you can go to any skills college the better college uh you do catering or maybe you do um plumbing carpentry these things that people ignore. Go and do skills. Some of you it only takes you to do certain skills for weeks and later become uh successive people in this life. people certain people that do certain courses like plumbing you know that plumbers make a lot of money to be honest I'm telling you plumbers make a lot of money those who have done plumbing if you are aware about plumbing please ask and find out you really tell me those people that are that are doing roofing they just go to excuse course they learn how to do roofing how many people are building houses you just go to a skills course you go and learn how to build construct offense or houses. How many people are constructing houses? How many people uh you know are building and need houses to be roofed? How many people are building inbuilt kitchens and are doing good ceiling boards? How many people are doing that? So someone may be laughing at you. No, that one is just the plumber. Find out how much money makes how much money those plumbers are making. Swallow your applied and do what works for you. Know yourself. I repeat, know yourself. I know the plumber that came to do uh uh the plumbing work the sewer line at at home um at my dad's place. I I remember even his name, Mr. Timbo. He does a good job. He's able to, you know, to install those tubs, you know, those pipes connected to the to the toilets and all that, you know, connecting the pipes nicely to the septic tanks. We are using those toilets at home, which people are not using toilets. People may call it dirty work, but there's money in there. So, if you can do that, I encourage you. So, the first module is about knowing yourself. So we shall have more classes, live classes on this one. But I hope this video opens up your mind.
